We raise heritage breed Red Wattle hogs and American Guinea hogs on our 45 acres in western Oregon. If you are not familiar with these breeds of hogs, they are both critically endangered heritage breeds that are known for their outstanding, well flavored meat and also their ease of handling, making them ideal for family farms.
Our hogs are pastured from the day they are born until the day they head to the processor. We do not use farrowing crates or confinement barns. We believe that animals should live the life they were intended to live with all dignity and freedoms that we can give them. We grind our own feed from grains grown locally (within 15 miles or so) and we never add antibiotics or hormones to the hogs' diet.
We pride ourselves on producing pork form animals that lived well and lived happy. It is some of the best tasting pork you will ever have.

Welcome to Sherwood Pastured Meat, a small family farm nestled in the heart of Oregon's wine country. From free range, grass fed chicken to pastured heritage pork, we offer some of the finest meat products you'll find in and around Portland.
Our pastured chickens live on pasture from the day they are hatched. They are free ranged and moved to new paddocks each day. In addition to pasture grass, our chickens are supplemented with organic, soy free, corn free, GMO free feed.
Our pasture heritage hogs are a rare breed, the American Mulefoot. They are born and raised on pasture and allowed to free ranged over our ten acres. These hogs are not fed any purchased feed... rather, their diet consists of pasture, milk, and fresh produce.
