We produce salad bar beef, pigaerator pork, pastured poultry, eggs and raw dairy products while focusing on maintaining the farm's habitat. Certified organic for the past 10 years, the farm has gone from a worn out, gullied weed patch to a beautiful multi-species habitat that is home to our farm animals and all the native "critters."
We are first and foremost farmers. We believe it is our mission to love our neighbors and be good stewards of the land. Our family farm now has three generations living on it. Tourmaline Farm is a diversified, grass-based, beyond organic, direct marketing farm.
For context, please understand that we don’t do anything conventionally. We haven’t bought a bag of chemical fertilizer (ever) and don't own a plow or disk or silo. Like Polyface Farm, we practice mob stocking herbivorous solar conversion lignified carbon sequestration fertilization with the cattle. Pastured broilers move every day to a fresh paddock salad bar.
